

Established in 2000 (Switzerland), the Association of Certified International Investment Analysts® (ACIIA) is an international umbrella organisation comprising of national and regional associations of investment professionals. The association awards the Certified International Investment Analysts® (CIIA®) and represents over 60,000 professionals (portfolio managers, analysts, investment advisers, asset managers and fund managers and so on) worldwide. The association aspires to: support and promote the interests of the investment community worldwide; promote ethical behaviour in the industry; and encourage/provide a medium for the formulation and exchange of ideas and information in the finance and investment field.
Based in Madrid, Spain the International Sociological Association (ISA) is a non-profit association for scientific purposes in the field of sociology and social sciences. Founded in 1949 under the auspices of UNESCO, the goal of the ISA is to represent sociologists globally, regardless of their school of thought, scientific approaches or ideological opinion, and to advance sociological knowledge throughout the world. Today it has members in 167 countries. The association is also a member of the International Social Science Council. It also has a formal associate relation with UNESCO as a non-governmental organization and holds a special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) were founded in 1913 as the Welfare Workers’ Association (WWA) with just 34 members. Today the organisation is Europe's largest HR development professional body with over 135,000 members. The CIPD is the professional body for those involved in the management and development of people and aspires to support and develop those responsible for the management and development of people within organisations. CIPD aim is to drive sustained organisation performance through HR, shaping thinking, leading practice and building capability within the profession.
The European Association for international Education (EAIE) is a not-for-profit member-led organisation made up of individual members. Located in the Netherlands with over 1,800 members worldwide from the international education sector the association main aim is to stimulate and facilitate the internationalisation of higher education in Europe and around the world, and to meet the professional needs of individuals active in international education. As a member one can become part of a worldwide network of professionals in the field of higher education and have the opportunity to network and consult with colleagues working towards common goals.
Located in the UK, the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS) is a group of business schools from all over the world which believe that the internationalisation of business and the globalisation of the economy are essential elements in the evolution of managerial practices. The network supports the integration within teaching curriculum a strong international dimension, such as the practice of foreign languages, the study of comparative management techniques and the experience of working and studying abroad.NIBS promote the cooperation between educational institutions in different countries that should aid the understanding between nations and develop furthering awareness and knowledge of other cultures and social practices. NIBS’ members recognise each others' qualifications and have a common goal of collaboration encouraging the following practises: Student/Faculty exchanges and interactions, exchanges of ideas for teaching programs and joint teaching and research programs.
EphMRA (European Pharmaceutical Market Research Association) aims to create excellence in professional standards and practices to enable healthcare market researchers to become valued business partners. The association strives for the development and improvement of standards and techniques in Europe for market research in the field of health and healthcare. Also the association works to increase its participation in the relevant decision-making processes in order to support its members in their international activities and to create transparency. EphMRA works with the equivalent USA based organisation PBIRG, in order to ensure mutual benefits.
The European University Association (EUA) is the result of a merger between the Association of European Universities (CRE) and the Confederation of European Union Rectors' Conferences (Salamanca, Spain 31 March 2001). EUA strives to represent and support higher education institutions from 46 countries, providing them with a unique forum to cooperate. EUA wishes to play an essential role in shaping tomorrow’s European higher education and research landscape using its in-depth knowledge of the sector and the diversity of its members. As a centre of expertise in higher education and research, EUA supports universities via activities such as: informing members of policy debates; strengthening the governance, leadership and management of institutions through a range of activities, developing partnerships in higher education and research between Europe and the rest of the word, and so on.
