

The Association of International Educators (NAFSA) is a member organization that aims to promote international education and provide professional development opportunities to the sector. NAFSA is a worldwide association of individuals, with the aim to advance international education and exchange and support global workforce development. NAFSA serves international educators, their institutions and organizations by establishing principles of good practice, providing training, professional development and networking opportunities, and advocating for international education. Hundreds of members volunteer to serve the association, to influence public policy, and to maintain a strong organization. NAFSA’s volunteer members can contribute by creating and disseminate knowledge, influencing public policy, serving on committees and teams and promoting international education.
The Photographers Association of America (PAA) was formed in April 1880 and got its current name in 1958. PPA is the world’s largest non-profit association for professional photographers, with more than 20,000 members from more than 50 countries. The association seeks to increase its members’ business knowledge as well as broaden their creative scope and help them to advance their careers. PPA mission is to “be the leader in the dissemination of knowledge in the areas of professional business practices and creative image-making, and to define and maintain the industry’s standards of excellence”. In addition PPA vision is to “create a global perspective that promotes business first, creativity foremost and excellence always”.
The Modern Language Association of America (MLA) was founded in 1883 and has over 30,000 members in around 100 countries. The association provides opportunities for its members to share their scholarly findings and teaching experiences with colleagues and to discuss trends in education. The MLA international bibliography is a comprehensive bibliography in language and literature, available online. In addition the association host an annual convention and other events, in association with other related organizations.
The American Statistical Association (ASA) is a scientific and educational society, and was founded in Boston in 1839. It is the second-oldest, continuously operating professional association in the United States. The ASA aims to continue to provide excellent service to statisticians, quantitative scientists, and users of statistics across a wealth of academic areas and applications. The ASA mission is “to promote excellence in the application of statistical science across the wealth of human endeavor” by supporting excellence in statistical practice, research, journals, meetings and education at all levels.
The American Accounting Association (AAA) was founded in 1916 as the American Association of University Instructors in Accounting. Today it promotes worldwide excellence in accounting education, research and practice. AAA is a voluntary organization of individuals interested in accounting education and research. The mission of the association is to bring together the academic community, to further accounting education and to advance the discipline and profession of accounting.
The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) was founded in 1876 when 22 medical schools formed the Provisional Association of American Medical Colleges. Now, AAMC represents the 133 accredited U.S. and 17 accredited Canadian medical schools; about 400 major teaching hospitals and health systems, including 68 ‘Department of Veterans Affairs’ medical centers; and nearly 90 academic and scientific societies. Through these institutions and organizations, the AAMC represents around: 125,000 faculty members, 75,000 medical students, and 106,000 resident physicians.
The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) has more than 27,000 members and aims to support school counselors' efforts to help students to focus on academic, personal, social and career development so that they can achieve success in school and be prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society. To achieve those aims ASCA provides professional development, publications and other resources. The association is also involved in research projects and provides support to its members around the globe.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession, with more than half a million members and credential holders in 185 countries. The associations’ products and services aim to be the basis of greater recognition and acceptance of project management successful role in governments, organizations, academia and industries. Worldwide PMI supports the project management sector by: globally-recognized standards and credentials, an extensive research agenda, and professional development opportunities.
The Mexican Association of Teachers of English (MEXTESOL) was founded in l973 by a group of English teachers interested in promoting and strengthening English language teaching in Mexico. MEXTESOL was founded based on the model of TESOL international and soon became an affiliate member of that organisation. The first national convention was held in l974 in Tampico, Tamaulipas. MEXTESOL is a professional academic association which seeks to develop its members and other teachers of English, with the aim to offer the highest possible standard for teaching.
With its roots in 1999 (California, USA) the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) was formal incorporated in 2002. With its secretariat established in 2007 and based in Toronto (Canada), WorldGBC primary role is to formalise international communications, help industry leaders’ access emerging markets, and provide an international voice for green building initiatives. Today WorldGBC is a union of national Green Building Councils from around the world, making it the largest international organisation influencing the green building marketplace.

The association aim is: to represent the simultaneous and consecutive professional interpreters in Argentina; to extend the improvement and meaning of their activities; to develop and defend other professional benefits and interests for its members; and to underscores the profession's prestige.
The Association for Asian Research (AFAR) is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-government research institution based in New York, USA. AFAR aims to provide the American public with an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of Asian affairs in the interest of peace and prosperity. Via a number of different publications and presentations the association seek to host independent views and analysis on East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia, over a wide range of topics including culture, politics, economy, human rights, religion, security, science, and the environment.
